As the day is drawing closer I'm thinking to myself (and now you) what am I doing????? 22-23 hours on a bus from Hopewell Junction NY to Orlando Florida. The last time I traveled for 22 hours hours anywhere I left NJ and ended up in Thailand and Cambodia - not Orlando. And I flew business class with Ilise, not Bus class with an empty seat next to me (although I'm guessing at about 4 hours into this I'll be very grateful for that extra seat!) But enough of those negative thoughts - I'll be thinking of the words that Simon and Garfunkel sang so many years ago -
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike, they've all gone to look for America! Laughing on the bus, playing games with the faces....
I was warned the other day that these kids like to sing - By the time we get to Baltimore they will know lyrics to Taxi, Paradise by the Dashboard Light and anything by ELO!!
When we arrive in Orlando Tuesday morning we actually go to our hotel - The Country Inn and Suites - (somehow I don't think I have platinum status there) for breakfast. We don't actually check in then but go first to EPCOT for the day. That means no room which means no shower after sitting on a bus for 22 hours or so.
And I'm not even getting paid for this.....
